How Our Product Was Created And Why?
Inspired by our own life experience with regards to the health of our pets, No More Ticks is a family company that was created out of a necessity to provide a healthy alternative to repel ticks and other flying insets without the negative and unhealthy side effects. This company is run by real people who love our pets. Our repellent is hand-crafted in small batches, using ingredients that are safe for both you and your pets.

We spent a lot of time doing extensive research on the many ingredients that other brands use in their repellents. Based on our research, we have found that many of these ingredients are harmful and hazardous to your health, your skin, and the health and well being of your pets.

- Citrus Oils (e.g., Lemon, Orange specifically, d-limonene): Can cause vomiting and diarrhea.
- Pine Oil: Toxic to cats; can lead to liver damage.
- Eucalyptus Oil: Can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and depression of the central nervous system.
- Lavender Oil: While less toxic, it can still cause gastrointestinal upset and lethargy.
- Clove Oil: Gastrointestinal, neurological, respiratory distress & skin reactions.
- Ylang Ylang Oil: Same as Clove Oil
- Pennyroyal Oil: Vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, tremors & respiratory issues.
- Wintergreen Oil: Gastrointestinal issues, respiratory problems, neurological symptoms & skin reactions
- Thyme Oil: Same as Clove Oil
- Sweet birch Oil: Same as Clove Oil
- Basil Oil: Lastly, again, same as Clove Oil

The following essential oils should not be used on horses:
- Oregano Oil: skin irritation & respiratory issues
- Thyme Oil: Skin irritation & allergic reactions
- Clove Leaf Oil: Skin irritation & toxicity risk
- Cinnamon Oil: Skin irritation & potential toxicity
- Bitter Almond Oil: Severe toxicity NEVER USE
- Sage Oil: Same as Bitter Almond Oil
- Wormseed Oil: Same at Bitter Almond Oil
What Does The EPA Say About The Above?

While many of these repellents are effective, individual reactions can vary, and it is advisable to choose products based on personal health considerations and environmental impact.
None of the above essential oils exist in any of our No More Tick products
The essential oils we use in all of our products are Cedarwood, Citronella and Geranium essential oils. It is also essential to use a carrier oil and a spray bottle with these essential oils. We use pure vegetable glycerin as our carrier oil.
